Account Deletion Request
You can request deletion/closure of your Grosh-e account through the app or through official support channels. For your protection, we may need to verify your identity and account ownership before processing the request.
Note: An account deletion request means closing the account and disabling access. Final closure may require settling pending transactions, handling any remaining balance, or completing compliance steps before closure is completed.

How to Request Deletion
A) In-app request
- Open Settings.
- Tap Contact Us.
- Select or write Account deletion request.
- Submit the required verification information (see below).
B) Web/support request
- Visit: https://www.hadhramoutbank.com
- Use the available support/contact options to submit an Account deletion request.
- Alternatively, email info@hadhramoutbank.com or call 8005000.
Required Verification Information
To protect you and prevent unauthorized deletion, we may ask for verification details such as:
- Username or Customer ID (if applicable).
- Registered phone number.
- Any additional verification information requested for security and compliance purposes.
- (Optional) Helpful details such as device type or app version if needed to investigate the request.
What Happens After Your Request
- We review your request and verify identity/account ownership before taking action.
- After verification, we proceed with account deletion/closure steps (as applicable), including restricting access.
- Your request is processed within a reasonable timeframe after verification.
- If there are pending transactions, a remaining balance, or compliance checks, we may need to complete necessary steps before finalizing closure.
What Is Deleted vs What May Be Retained
Deleted/disabled (where applicable)
- Account access (so you can no longer use the account).
- Profile details and non-essential personal data associated with the account, where deletion is permitted.
- Some in-app preferences and settings, where applicable.
May be retained (purpose-limited)
- Transaction records and account history.
- Compliance and verification records (for example, KYC/AML-related records) as required by applicable laws and regulations.
- Security and fraud-prevention records and records needed to resolve disputes or complete audits.
Any retention is limited to legal/compliance/security/audit/dispute purposes and should not be used for unrelated commercial exploitation.

Removing Data From Your Device
You can remove local app data by logging out (if available), clearing the app’s storage in your device settings, or uninstalling the app.
